Dr. Daniel Alv\u00e0rez<\/strong>, professor of Classical Languages<\/strong> \u200b\u200bat the Faculty of Arts and Humanities<\/a><\/strong> of the European University-IMF<\/a><\/strong>, has published the article “The Dignity of Late Medieval Catalan Jurists” in the book Estudis Luso-Hispanics d’Hist\u00f2ria del Dret<\/strong>, Capdeferro, Josep, coordinate (2024), vol. III, Madrid; Ed. Dykinson, pp. 27-50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This volume brings together most of the communications presented at the IV Hispano-Lusiana Meeting of Historians of Law held at Pompeu Fabra University<\/a> in Barcelona in June 2022. The twenty-five chapters of the book deal with legal aspects of the Iberian territories in the middle ages, modern and, above all, contemporary, until the end of the 20th century. Special emphasis is placed on jurisdictional conflicts, doctrine on insurance in the ius commune era, judicial experiences and figures or the construction and crisis of the liberal state.<\/p>\n\n\n
