{"id":17716,"date":"2025-09-04T10:11:37","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/euniv.eu\/?p=17716"},"modified":"2025-09-04T10:11:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:11:40","slug":"new-research-publication-from-euniv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euniv.eu\/en\/new-research-publication-from-euniv\/","title":{"rendered":"New Research Publication from eUniv"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The journal <em>VESTNIK SOCIAL SCIENCES<\/em> of the Moscow State Linguistic University publishes in its issue 1 (858) of 2025 the article by Pol Bartolom\u00e9 entitled <em>The Andorran Political System Revisited<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.rcsi.science\/2500-347X\/article\/view\/296854?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/journals.rcsi.science\/2500-347X\/article\/view\/296854<\/a>). In this work, Bartolom\u00e9, who was the coordinator in the preparation of teaching material on the Andorran Political System for the eUniv\u2019s Bachelor in Political Science program, introduces the unique case of Andorra\u2019s parliamentary Co-principality \u2014unmatched within the framework of contemporary governance\u2014 into the political science literature, where it has so far received very limited attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The article offers the international academic public a comprehensive analysis of Andorra\u2019s political system, focusing on its institutional structures, historical evolution, and governance dynamics. Using a historical-institutional approach, the study examines the transformation of Andorra\u2019s political system from its medieval Par\u00e9ages to the adoption of its 1993 Constitution, which formalized its status as a sovereign parliamentary democracy. The research delves into the role of key institutions, including the General Council, the electoral system, and the development of political parties. At the same time, it also examines the influence of external factors, particularly Andorra\u2019s evolving relationship with the European Union. To this end, the paper integrates a comparative politics framework, contrasting Andorra\u2019s governance structure with other European microstates such as Monaco, San Marino, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg. This methodological approach makes it possible to assess Andorra\u2019s institutional adaptability, democratic consolidation, and international positioning. Through the analysis of Andorra\u2019s legal, political, and territorial organization, this study contributes to the understanding of small-state governance and the dynamics of sovereignty in contemporary Europe.
