Sant Juli\u00e0 de L\u00f2ria, 14 October.<\/strong> The European University (eUniv)<\/strong> presented to the General Syndic, Mr. Carles Ensenyat Reig<\/strong>, the project for the International Legal Symposium Commemorating the 750th Anniversary of the Andorran Pariatges<\/strong>, a landmark academic initiative that will take place in 2028<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The symposium is promoted and organized by eUniv through the Fiter i Rossell Chair of Legal and Institutional History<\/strong>, with the aim of bringing together national and international experts to analyze the legal, historical, and institutional significance of the Pariatges, one of the most important founding milestones in Andorra’s history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The initiative seeks to contribute to the commemoration of a particularly significant date for the country. On 8 September 1278, the arbitration award signed in Lleida brought an end to the dispute between the Bishopric of Urgell and the County of Foix over the lordship of the Andorran valleys, giving rise to a unique institutional model that would shape the Principality’s political development for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through this international academic gathering, eUniv proposes a renewed reflection on the meaning of the Pariatges in the institutional construction of Andorra, addressing issues such as their legal nature, their role as a conflict-resolution mechanism, and their influence on the country’s historical development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme will bring together legal scholars, historians, researchers and specialists from various European universities and research centres, strengthening Andorra’s position as a meeting point for academic debate on historical institutions and their contemporary legacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The University delegation was composed of its Rector, Dr Antoni Noguero<\/strong>; Chancellor, Dr Jes\u00fas M. Pruj\u00e0<\/strong>; Academic Protonotary, Dr Marc B.
