New Appointment of eUniv’s Vice-Chancellor
On 28 May 2026, the Bishop of Urgell and Co-Prince of Andorra, Msgr Josep-Lluís Serrano, signed the new ecclesiastical appointments for the diocese. Among them is the appointment of Msgr Josep Chisvert, Vice-Chancellor of eUniv, as Rector of the Cathedral of Urgell. Msgr Chisvert has served as Rector of the Andorran parish of Sant Julià de Lòria since 2010.
Msgr Chisvert, an economist by training, will continue to serve as the Education Delegate of the Diocese of Urgell and will become a member of its Episcopal Council, representing the archpriesthoods of Alt Urgell, Núria-Cerdanya and Valls d’Andorra.
The Senate and Academic Board of eUniv wish to express their recognition of the outstanding pastoral work carried out by Msgr Chisvert, as well as their gratitude for the support he has consistently provided to the institution, recalling that the establishment of eUniv’s headquarters in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria was his initiative. The University extends its institutional congratulations to Msgr Chisvert, together with its best wishes for a fruitful undertaking of his new responsibilities, and offers him the full cooperation of the entire university community.
