eUniv Launches the Evaluation Process for a New Doctoral Thesis on the Sanctification of Work in the Christian Tradition

Sant Julià de Lòria, 19 October 2026. The J. H. Newman Doctoral School of eUniv has received the doctoral dissertation submission of Dr Francisco J. Guillén, entitled The Sanctification of Work as an Exercise of the Tria Munera Christi, conducted under the academic supervision of Dr Maria V. Roqué, professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.

Dr Guillén, who holds a doctorate in Medicine and collaborates with Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, California, has completed through this work his second doctoral research project, focusing on the sanctification of work from the perspective of the tria munera Christi, namely Christ’s threefold office as priest, prophet, and king.

In accordance with current doctoral regulations, the eUniv Doctoral Committee, meeting on 12 October 2026, approved the appointment of three external experts who will be responsible for evaluating the submitted dissertation. Their reports will determine the continuation of the process and, should the assessment be favourable, will lead to the appointment of the doctoral examination board responsible for examining and judging the thesis. The experts appointed for this evaluation are Dr James Wykes, Dra Maria P. Ferrer and Dr Michal Twarkowski.

With this new doctoral submission, the J. H. Newman Doctoral School continues to promote international academic research and reinforces its commitment to scientific excellence in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and religious studies.
