eUniv has formalized a collaboration agreement with Andbank with the aim of promoting access to and participation in higher education among the bank’s professional staff.

This agreement is part of eUniv’s foundational commitment to fostering lifelong learning and bringing higher education closer to professional environments, as well as Andbank’s intention to support the personal, social, and professional development of its employees through university education .

Access to a wide academic offer

The agreement enables Andbank professionals to access a broad range of official degree programmes offered by eUniv, including bachelor’s degrees in fields such as Business Administration, Law, Communication, Psychology, Humanities, Marketing, and Political Science, as well as master’s degrees in Business Administration and Criminology. It also includes technological programmes such as the bachelor’s degree in Data Science (AI) and Computer Science.

Admission and enrolment facilities

Under the terms of the agreement, Andbank professionals may access university studies in accordance with the general admission framework of the Principality of Andorra, with eUniv providing support in obtaining the required ministerial certification. The university also undertakes to admit all candidates from the group who meet the established requirements.

The agreement also establishes streamlined enrolment procedures and provides for the academic recognition of professional experience through prior learning assessment processes, thereby enhancing flexibility and adapting learning pathways to individual profiles.

A commitment to education and institutional collaboration

The agreement, which is valid indefinitely from the date of signature, strengthens collaboration between academia and the financial sector and reinforces eUniv’s role as an institution focused on the education of working professionals. As part of this partnership, the agreement предусматриes the inclusion of an Andbank representative in the University’s Academic Senate.

Through this initiative, eUniv continues to advance its mission of contributing to human capital development and knowledge transfer across society.

The University’s Doctoral Committee, meeting in ordinary session on April 10, 2026, approved the application for the submission of the doctoral thesis entitled L’ensenyament superior universitari d’Infermeria als Principats d’Andorra i Catalunya al Segle XXI, submitted by the doctoral candidate Maria A. CORREDOR, with the approval of her supervisor, Dr. Jesús M. PRUJÀ, and registered in the University’s General Registry on March 25, 2026, in accordance with Article 8.2 of Decree 179/2025, of May 21, regulating doctoral studies in Andorra.

Likewise, in compliance with Article 8.3 of the same decree, the Committee approved the appointment of three expert doctors in the field, external to eUniv, who will be responsible for evaluating and issuing a binding report on the quality of the submitted thesis: Dr. Laura BUJALANCE, researcher in the field of History of Science at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid; Dr. Ferran FUERTES, professor in the Department of Nursing at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya; and Dr. Joan SOLSONA, inspector of vocational education and specialist in factors influencing university choice.

These three external evaluators have four weeks to issue their reports and, once received, if they are positive, the Doctoral Committee will proceed to appoint the corresponding examination board, in accordance with the procedure established by the current Doctoral Decree.

eUniv has signed a collaboration agreement with Oracle Ibérica S.R.L. to integrate official training and certifications from Oracle Academy and Oracle University into various bachelor’s and postgraduate programs. Thanks to this agreement, eUniv students will be able to develop key skills in the technology sector and obtain internationally recognized professional certifications in cloud computing, databases, and software development.

The agreement was signed in Sant Julià de Lòria (Andorra) by Anton Miret Serra, General Manager of Universitat Europea, and Albert Triola Espigulé, representing Oracle in Spain. Both entities share the mission of fostering talent in information technologies and contributing to the employability of young professionals through high-quality education.

Certified training from the first year of undergraduate studies

The agreement includes the progressive incorporation of Oracle Academy content from the first years of bachelor’s programs, with learning pathways in areas such as Java programming, database design and administration, and cloud development.

Additionally, in the final stages of the bachelor’s degree and in selected postgraduate programs, students will be able to access the Oracle University – Workforce Development Program, which includes official online courses, hands-on labs, seminars, final projects, and exclusive Oracle materials, as well as access to an official Oracle certification voucher per course, among other benefits.

The initiative also includes masterclasses delivered by Oracle professionals and mentoring activities, thereby strengthening the link between academic training and professional practice.

A commitment to technological employability

This agreement is part of eUniv’s commitment to student-centered education, aligned with the realities of the professional environment and aimed at training the technological leaders of the future.

With this partnership, eUniv takes a further step in establishing strategic alliances that promote talent development in the STEM field and prepare students to face the challenges of digital transformation.

The Academic Board of the University approved, at the proposal of the Director of the University Institute of Applied Technology (IUTA), to request from the Government of the Principality of Andorra the creation of two new state bachelor’s degrees: Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering.

The Bioinformatics program is currently implemented in the Catalan university system through an interuniversity agreement between UAB, UB, UPC, and UPF, which have offered it as an official undergraduate degree since the 2023–24 academic year. The future introduction of this program at eUniv’s IUTA will contribute to strengthening the current academic field of Computer Science with a fourth degree.

Meanwhile, Biomedical Engineering is a well-established and widely implemented field across all levels of the European Higher Education Area. In the Spanish university system alone, it is offered in more than thirty universities, including the UOC, which will introduce it in a fully online teaching format starting next academic year.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Academic Board of the University, led by the Rector and the Chancellor, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Research, the Academic Protonotary, and the Director of Humanities Studies, visited His Excellency the Episcopal Co-Prince of the Principality of Andorra, His Eminence and Most Reverend Josep-Lluís Serrano Pentinat.

Also present at the meeting were the personal representative of the Episcopal Co-Prince, Dr. Eduard Ibáñez; the Delegate for Education of the Diocese of Urgell, Mn. Pepe Chisvert; and the Director of the Fiter i Rossell Chair at eUniv, Dr. Josep Serrano, who presented his latest study on the martyrial documentation of Bishop Pere M. Sans, which will be published this year.

The eUniv delegation presented the current status of the institutional development of the university project, as well as addressed questions regarding future prospects raised by the attending authorities.

With this visit, eUniv continued its institutional relationship with the Episcopal Co-Principality, initiated in 2023 with the visit to the previous office holder, His Eminence and Most Reverend Joan-Enric Vives i Sicília.

The Duran i Martí Private Foundation, based in Tortosa, and the European University (eUniv), based in Sant Julià de Lòria, in the Principality of Andorra, have signed an academic cooperation agreement to promote the organization of scientific symposiums devoted to the presentation and discussion of the legal history of the principalities of Catalonia and Andorra. The agreement provides for the joint organization of conferences and international congresses aimed at deepening the study of historical law and highlighting the shared legal heritage between the two territories.

Among the first initiatives is the “1st Symposium on the History of the Customs of Tortosa,” an international congress held within the framework of the 750th anniversary of the Customs of Tortosa. The symposium will take place in the Terres de l’Ebre in the autumn of 2027 and will bring together specialists to analyze the historical and legal significance of the Customs, one of the most relevant legal compilations of medieval Catalan law.

Through this agreement, both institutions strengthen international academic collaboration and establish Tortosa as a center for scholarly debate on the legal tradition of the principalities.

On Wednesday, 25 February 2026, Mr. Carles Pérez-Desoy i Fages paid an official institutional visit to eUniv’s headquarters in Sant Julià de Lòria.

The Ambassador was received by the Academic Board, led by the University’s Rector, Dr. Antoni Noguero, and by members of the Academic Senate, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Josep Chisvert.

This was the first time a Spanish ambassador had visited the university, and his presence enabled the academic authorities who welcomed him to provide detailed institutional information about eUniv, which may serve as a basis for establishing future agreements to develop joint initiatives.

During the visit, the Rector presented the Ambassador with the eUniv Medal, as well as several of the university’s recent scientific publications.
