The European University at the 38th Andorran Day of the Catalan Summer University

On August 17, the Andorran Society of Sciences held the traditional Andorran specialized day, which has been taking place since 1988. Within the framework of the Catalan Summer University, the 38th edition of the Andorran Day was held to debate on Andorra and housing, with a total of twenty in-person presentations, four online presentations, and thirteen non-attended contributions.

With a fully open economy dependent on the outside, Andorra has entered globalization in this first quarter of the 21st century. Understanding and identifying the causal factors of the housing problem, defining the needs, and determining the most suitable and adapted solutions for the country is one of the current challenges of Andorran society, which today cannot be addressed in isolation from the European and Pyrenean context.

During the same Day, the book of papers from the 2024 edition was presented, which focused on Globalization and Andorra, including a presentation by Dr. Marc Escolà, Academic Protonotary of the European University, entitled “The globalization of the university offer from Andorra: future perspectives”.

Representing eUniv this year were Dr. Marc Escolà, Academic Protonotary of the European University; Dr. Eladi Llop, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Dr. Xavier Fantova, coordinator of the Bachelor in Humanities; Dr. Helena Serés, professor of the Bachelor in Humanities; and the director of the University Institute of Applied Technology (IUTA), Joaquim Vallés.
