Universitat Europea successfully celebrates the graduation of its third class before a capacity audience at Auditori Claror
Sant Julià de Lòria, 19 July 2026. Universitat Europea (eUniv) held the Graduation Ceremony for its third graduating class yesterday evening, bringing together more than 100 students and nearly 400 attendees at the Auditori Claror of the Centre Cultural i de Congressos Lauredià, which was filled to capacity. The ceremony, which began at 6.30 p.m., highlighted the consolidation of the university project six years after its establishment in Andorra and brought together students from both the Principat and other parts of the world.
The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of Universitat Europea, Dr. Antoni Noguero, and included the participation of Dr. Jesús M. Prujà, Chancellor of Universitat Europea; Mr. Albert Moles, President of Andorra Cluster de la Tecnologia i la Innovació (ACTINN) and patron of the graduating class; and Dr. Isaac Galobardes, Director of the Agència de Qualitat de l’Ensenyament Superior d’Andorra (AQUA), who together formed the presidential panel for the ceremony.
One of the most moving moments of the ceremony was the address delivered on behalf of the students by Ms. Eva Choy, a graduate of the Màster en Business Administration (MBA), Director of l’Escola Andorrana de Sant Julià and former Cònsol Menor of Ordino, who highlighted the effort, perseverance and shared commitment demonstrated by the students throughout their academic journey.
During the ceremony, graduation sashes were presented to the graduates, while doctoral medals were awarded to the two new doctors of Universitat Europea who successfully defended their doctoral theses during this academic year: Dr. Rodrigo Cabedo and Dr. Ángeles Corredor. The ceremony concluded with the traditional official photographs of the graduating class, in an atmosphere of emotion, pride and celebration shared by the entire university community.
A university undergoing strong consolidation
Alongside the graduation celebrations, Universitat Europea continues to consolidate its institutional growth. The institution currently offers nearly twenty degree programmes and has already educated more than one hundred graduates, within a community of more than five hundred students who have studied at the university since 2020, both on campus and online.
In this regard, the Academic Secretary of Universitat Europea, Dr. Marc Escolà, highlighted the institution’s commitment to the country:
“This is an institutional commitment; we are not a company or anything resembling one and, as a result, we have made a significant number of investments in the country. We already have a staff of 92 professors working here.”
Dr. Escolà also gave a positive assessment of the legislative reform on higher education being promoted in the Principat:
“The reform that has been presented to the Consell General greatly improves the current situation. And I hope that the subsequent implementation of this law will improve it even further.”
These statements reflect Universitat Europea’s determination to continue contributing to the development of the Andorran university system and to its international positioning.
Universitat Europea would like to thank all the academic authorities, institutional representatives, teaching staff, families and friends who joined the new graduates on such a special occasion, as well as the students from Andorra and different countries around the world who have placed their trust in the institution by choosing it to pursue their educational goals.
The celebration of this third graduating class represents another step in the consolidation of Universitat Europea as a higher education institution committed to academic excellence, internationalisation and service to the country.
