Euniv’s Senator Alfred Albiol receives the ACCID Lifetime Achievement Award

The award is given to people who are distinguished by their activity in the field of accounting and management

The moment of delivering the award

Dr. Alfred Albiol, senator of the eUniv, has been awarded the Professional Career Award given by the Catalan Association of Accounting and Management (ACCID). The award is given annually within the framework of the ACCID awards that this year celebrates the XVII Edition. Albiol explained that “receiving this award is an immense pride and satisfaction”.

The notification was made last year, but due to COVID19, the delivery took place on June 3 at the building of the College of Economists of Catalonia, in Barcelona. The jury in charge of awarding the award was made up of 4 people linked to the sector: Alfredo Rocafort, accounting professor at the UB, Emili Gironella, managing partner of Gironella Auditores, Daniel Faura, president of ACCID, and Xavier Subirats, secretary of the College of Economists of Catalonia.

In previous editions, ACCID has awarded this award to other professionals such as Salvador Alemany, CEO of ABERTIS, Mercè Martí, executive president of Kreston Iberaudit, and Emilio Álvarez, president of REA.

Senator Alfred Albiol is an Economist (graduated from the UB) and a PhD in Business Administration and Management from the UAO (Abat Oliva University). He is an account auditor and has been dean of the College of Business Graduates of Barcelona and of the Council of Business Graduate Colleges of Catalonia.

Dr. Marta Mitjans participates in the VIII SEMDOC Summit of the UCM

On April 23, took place the VIII SEMDOC Summit of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in which Dr. Marta Mitjans participated in the presentation “La dramatisation de renoir au regard d’une réception littéraire, esthétique et phénoménologique”.

The event, which was in person, welcomed around thirty attendees who were able to listen to Dr. Mitjans, as well as the other speakers: Prof. M. Kazmierczak and Prof. M. Rodríguez Velasco. The paper addressed the author’s doctoral thesis (“La dramatisation de Renoir au regard d’une réception littéraire, esthétique et phénoménologique”), as the engine of research in the field of Humanities. In this work, the analysis of two literary corpus (journalistic; fantastic) that deal with the dramatization of Renior (plastic artist) as a literary “metacharacter” allows us to link this notion to the phenomenology of creation.

The eUniv agrees with edX to offer MOOC programs from the best universities in the world

This collaboration reaffirms the Andorran university’s commitment to its student community

The Lullian Chair in Education and Technology has reached an agreement with edX. With this collaboration, eUniv students will have access to MOOC programs (open online courses) from the best universities in the world, such as Harvard, MIT or Boston University.

EUniv is unequivocally committed to providing the best training to its students and providing them with the resources to achieve their academic objectives. This is demonstrated by this agreement and the one signed with Microsoft Office last February with which eUniv students have free access to Office 365 Education tools.

The eUniv has participate in the Round Table about the legal conflict situations about art treasures, that took lace on march 18th 2021 and was organized by the Research Group in Medieval Studies “Espai, Poder i Cultura”.

The debate was presented by the Vice-Dean of the UdL, Dr. Joan J. Busqueta, and was moderated by the director of this research group, Dr. Flocel Sabaté, who is the President of the Societas Historicorum Coronae Aragonum.

The guest speakers were Dr. Geraldine Mallet, from the University Paul Valéry of Montpellier, Dr. Xavier Barral, from the University of Rennes, Dr. Carme Berlabé, curator of the Museum of Lleida, and Dr. Marc B. Escolà, as Director of Fiter and Rosell Chair in Legal and Political Sciences of the eUniv, who approached the conflict situations regarding of specific legal protection of museums and artcollection around the glove.

More than one hundred people, specialists in the field of artistic heritage, doctoral candiadtes and university students, coming from France, Catalonia and Aragon, followed the event live, and had, as well, the oportunity to ask their questions to the speakers at the end of the deabte.

The eUniv will provide free access to Microsoft Office to all university community

The eUniv and Microsoft have reached an agreement by which students, teachers and administrative staff will have free access to Portal Office 365 Education

he agreement between the eUniv and Microsoft will allow working online with the Office 365 Education tools, that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Microsoft Teams. This is a free service for all members of the university community. They will be given a personal email account and whose credentials will allow them to enter to Office 365 services.

The eUniv and FUNDECISA reach an agreement of academic cooperation

The Andorran university has come to an agreement by which the foundation will join as associated center

On January 1st, the European university (eUniv) and the Fundación para el Desarrollo de la Investigación en Ciencias de la Salud (FUNDEFICSA) sign a covenant of association by which the foundation of the health sector will be part of the eUniv as an associated center.

The Vice Dean of Continue Training and university Extension of the eUniv, Dr. Luis G. Jiménez, and ECAS’ president, Dr. Rafael Arán Suau, showed their satisfaction with the capability of extending the training offering to health professionals. In this sense, the covenant establishes that FUNDEFICSA will be able to implement different trainings.

FUNDEFICSA is a foundation created in 1987 with the objective of offering the best training opportunities to companies and professionals in the field of health. Since then the foundation has trained more than 20.000 students through several programs (on-site and on-line). Besides, FUNDEFICSA has also a huge experience in organizing sectoral congresses, presentations and specialized meeting in the field of health.

The eUniv and ECAS sign a covenant of academic collaboration

The university based in Andorra will incorporate he school of professional education as an associated center to offer studies based in the financial and real state field

On January 1st, the European university (eUniv) and the Escuela de Criminología Aplicada y Seguridad (ECAS) signed a covenant of association by which the school of professional education becomes part of the eUniv as an associated center.

The ViceDean of Continue Formation and university Extension of the eUniv, Dr. Luis G. Jiménez, and the ECAS president, Mr. José Ramón Fernández Dieguez, expressed their will of promoting the professionalization of the real state sector. In this sense, the covenant establishes that ECAS will be able to implement several certifications.

ECAS is a school of professional education based in subsidized and university education; specially, in post degrees for different sectors. ECAS has been offering its formation since 10 years ago, in coincidence with the implementation of the Bologna Plan. In the year 2020, ECAS join GRUPO BEST to create a regulated training for the financial and real estate sector.

The eUniv and Sant Julià de Lòria’s City Council sign a covenant of agreement

The signing means a new step to make Sant julià de Lòria become the parish of knowledge and investigation

The dean of the European university (eUniv), Antoni Noguero, and the mayor of Sant Julià de Lòria, Josep Majoral, have signed this Thursday an agreement of collaboration. Majoral has asserted that “this agreement is a one more step so that the parish can become a university city”. Noguero, on his behalf, has announced that with this agreement, the eUniv will contribute to the achievement of the university city. The covenant regulates a relationship between the City Council and the university based in the cooperation in education and research.

The eUniv’s dean has stated that the purpose is to collaborate in the internationalization of the parish in the field of education, especially regarding the TIC’s sector, which is at the time in expansion, as it has been seen during the pandemic. The cooperation does not include any provision nor economic importance, since it is of institutional nature. The university has, as well, asked to the town City Council “our initiatives”, such as academic events or PhD presentations, “to be broadcasted to the parish through the communication mechanisms that already exist”.

The European University has also proposed several initiatives, which the City Council will evaluate, such as making the Quality Agency of Higher Education of Andorra (AQUA) to settle in the parish or making possible the arrival of the Summer Catalan University (UCE), which is currently taking place in Prada de Conflent.

Agreement between J. H. Newman Doctoral School and Public Relations High School from the UB

Both institutions have reached an agreement to promote cientific and doctoral investigation

J. H. Newman Doctoral School from the eUniv and Public Relations High School (ESRP) from the UB have stablished an agreement of academic cooperation with the objective of driving cientific and doctoral reserach in the fields of Communication, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing.

The planned activities will be integrated in Max Weber’s Chair, due to its specialization in the fiels of Economic and Social Sciences, and will be organically identified as the European Observatory of Communication, Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing (OEC).

Under this agreement, ESERP teaching staff will be able to access the Doctoral Programme of the eUniv and integrate to OEC’s line of doctoral research, being part of the doctoral procedure body, direct doctoral degrees, participate in OEC’s scientific meetings, propose the publication of scientific articles and reviews or apply for docotoral and postdoctoral scholarships and finance.

En virtut d’aquest conveni, el professorat de l’ESRP podrà accedir al Programa de Doctorat de la eUniv i integrar-se a la línia de recerca doctoral especialitzada de l’OEC, formar part dels òrgans previstos en el procediment doctoral, dirigir tesis, participar en les convocatòries científiques de l’OEC, proposar la publicació d’articles i ressenyes científiques o sol·licitar beques i ajuts a la recerca doctoral o postdoctoral.

The eUniv recibes the gratitude from Manuel de Pedrolo’s daughter for the chair’s name

The name of the historic catalan writer leads the Catalan Philology chair

Ms. Adelais de Pedrolo, daughter of Manuel de Pedrolo and president of the foundation that has his name, has expressed to the eUniv her personal and institutional gartitude due to the decision of dedicate the Catalan Philology chair to his father’s memory.

Takeing this decision, the eUniv has wanted to clearly manifest its recognition to the life and work of Manuel de Pedrolo, a testimony of an incorruptible freedom and a true service to the catalan lenguage and culture.
